Intermediate+ freeride boarder
Jeffrey's rating of this snowboard:
Considering his boarders profile:
"Powder snow is highly addictive to me, play and surf the virgin snow without extremes. Adrenaline takes over quickly and that results sometimes in impossible acrobatic crashes. All experiences will improve my skills though."

Good board to take a beginner to the next level
To be short: the Nitro Team Gullwing (Wide in my case) freestyle all terrain snowboard is too flexible for me. My weight, combined with the huge rocker and extreme flex in this Nitro board makes the edge-to-edge response very slow. Therefore this board is perfect for the beginner to intermediate rider I think: forgiving and very flexible, but not for me. That means that after a couple of years enthusiastic boarding you'll probably either outgrow the Team Gullwing or become a pure freestyler.
Hard to judge
Because the Team Gullwing board is not for me, I find it very difficult to judge. However, I'm sure that starting riders with 1 to 2 years of experience will love this Nitro board for a couple of years to come. It is very flexible and therefore very forgiving, so you definitely take your riding skills to the next level. The qualities of this freestyle snowboard secure that you'll be fine on any terrain, as long as it is a match for your level. For me this board was way too forgiving and freestylish. It was rather slowing me down then speeding me up.
Nitro about the Team Gullwing
"Adding the playful, forgiving, and trusted Gullwing Rocker to this legendary snowboard allows anyone to turn their local mountain into the ultimate personal playground. Stacked with the same technology as the standard team, but designed to provide the perfect blend of response and forgiveness for easy progression and “surf like” feel no matter the terrain. The Standard Camber under the bindings provides the pop and response you need for unparalleled control, and the Reverse Camber between the bindings offers the most amazing flex and float for presses and pow days. Mount it up and enjoy never ending progression and good times.", says Nitro. I found the Team Gullwing far from deadly quick, maybe due to it's extreme rocker and flexibility. For me carving with this board was next to impossible; it gave me the feeling of having to steer forever before this board started to turn. For beginners that is not a bad thing though. And freestylers will love the forgiving aspect probably.
Lib Tech Attack Banana: one step up makes a big difference, and still playful.
Bataleon Goliath: flexible slide and play board.
Arbor Watchtower: related for its flex, review follows.
