Expert level all-mountain boarder
Steef's rating of this snowboard:
Considering his snowboarders profile:
"Enjoying the whole mountain needs a maximum of piste carving, float in powder and playfulness. And for some decent carving on piste with acceleration a condition is good edge grip and camber. I am prepared to work for it."

Fantastic freeride board, everywhere!
What a great freeride board is the Rossignol XV Magtek at 167 cm length. Despite the length it is still easy maneuverable. Not that the XV Magtek is very playful but besides the long tough carving turns, short turns are doable as well. The 40% camber delivers a nice rebound then when you shift your weight to the rear leg. No lack of grip on the XV. This all-mountain or freeride board is stiff but not in the extreme punishable way. The stifness is good enough for stability at high speed. Race down any slope and feel the control and adrenaline the XV supplies you with!
XV is good for on and off-piste
The shape of the XV rails seems a bit odd at first, but once you just go ride it you won't notice it. A sign for me that it must work as planned. (The curl gives earlier snowcontact and more contact points.) The XV snowboard has a long nose and short tail. Together it keeps the nose up at any time with any amount of fresh snow without hassle. With the surprisingly easiness to maneuver the board, it dares you to speed up. In fact, this board can do anything you can ask for in a freerider board, but only for advanced and expert boarders. A certain 5 stars for the super board the Rossignol XV Magtek is for me.
Rossignol about the XV Magtek
"The XV MAGTEK is Xavier De Le Rue's big-mountain brainchild, designed for pushing the boundaries of big-mountain riding. Powered with MagTek and a wider, super-stiff nose with Tip Roller, the XV floats through deep pow, accelerates over chop, and bites into the gnarliest ice. Just plant your front foot and pin-it.", says Rossignol. Simply awesome, fantastic freeride snowboard.
Nitro Pantera: more rebound, more effort needed to perform.
Capita the Black Snowboard of Death: awesome allrounder.
Arbor Roundhouse: easy handling all-mountain board.
