Expert level all-mountain boarder
Steef's rating of this snowboard:
Considering his snowboarders profile:
"Enjoying the whole mountain needs a maximum of piste carving, float in powder and playfulness. And for some decent carving on piste with acceleration a condition is good edge grip and camber. I am prepared to work for it."
My favourite all-mountain snowboards:
1. Amplid UNW8
2. Capita Black snowb. of Death
3. Rossignol XV Magtek
To all my reviews
Flow Rush (tested length: 161 cm) is a quite heavy flat/camber/rocker designed board, trying to suit you well in different circumstances. The Flow Rush is for intermediate to advanced riders looking for a one quiver snowboard with a hang to freeriding. For them the Flow Rush board can be a good choice. Good grip, nice flex, stable at speed and predictable behaviour is what you get, packed in a modern and nice design.
Normally I am not very fond of boards with hybrid designs (flat/camber/rocker, all packed in one board), but the Flow Rush is actually an exception. I was sceptic at first but driving it, I didn't notice the heavy weight anymore and the different shapes seem to work in balance together. Control in all circumstances. Very good grip, stable at high speed, a comfortable flex and good float through the powder. The Flow Rush board gives you confidence and doesn't wear you out when riding it all day. Experienced riders would like it a bit stiffer though with some more pop. A 4 star rating for the Flow Rush from me.
