Advanced+ level all-mountain boarder
Alex's rating of this snowboard:
Considering his boarders profile:
"Which board has the highest limits on every terrain? Push and enjoy it to the max everywhere. Adrenaline comes from sharp long carves till blinding amounts of fresh snow in the woods. All-mountain snowboards should be able to handle it all."
My favourite all-mountain snowboards:
1. Nitro Pantera
2. Amplid UNW8
3. Capita Supernova

Burton Antler: versatile and easy
The Burton Antler camber 160.5 was my choice of course, as there is also a more rockered version (Flying V). A typical lifely all-mountain snowboard that won't require extreme skills. Camber makes it rewarding to a certain extend. Not in punishing every time but in the rebound feeling when you make a short precies carve turn. Already intermediate boarders who are not looking for full forgivingness in a snowboard will be able to have fun and improve on the Burton Antler. Higher level boarders might as well like it but there it totally depends on the preferred board style. For me it is a 3 star board as it is not bad at all, but I hardly want to give myself the luxury of taking it easy all day.
A good relaxed ride
The Burton Antler is a nicely balanced snowboard as the amount of rebound, playfulness, forgivingness, edge grip etc. all seem to be in the same league. Taking the Antler in the side country is a lot of fun. Here it pays off that it is so easy to ride. Jumping around and you'll notice that the dampening is good too and that makes for a good relaxed ride all around the resort. Not the biggest challenge, but not everyone looks for that, and those will have a nice board with the Antler camber.
Burton about the Antler
"Nimble, flexible, and highly capable – the stealth side of ultralight all-terrain performance fueled by the power of camber.
The Burton Antler is a premium all-terrain board for riders who seek exotic performance in a more relaxed ride. Lighter, faster, and more versatile than the Trick Pony, but way less serious than the Custom X™, this free-flowing ride hits jumps and slashes pow equally well. Carbon Highlights shave additional weight, while working with Squeezebox High core profiling to create a softer, more playful yet stable and snappy ride. Combine it all with the precision and stability of camber for powerful yet playful turns in all conditions.", says Burton.
Rossignol One Magtek: same league, a bit higher level.
Burton Custom: all-mountain board, more powder quality.
Nitro 38. Special: more stability, 50/50 piste powder board..
