Intermediate level freeride
skier Alex's rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
"I like that great surfy feeling of skiing in powder snow like most people do. On extreme days a pure rocker ski is nice but usually I prefer the combination with camber. That challenges me more and supplies versatility."
My favourite freeride skis:
1. Stöckli Stormrider 95
2. Rossignol Soul 7
3. Armada JJ 2.0

Made for everywhere off-piste
The Rocker2 108 is a freeride ski that is playful and pretty easy to maneuver in powder snow. A good step up for all-mountain skiers who want to enjoy more of the backcountry as you won't have a problem staying in control. The float and the turns it allows in deep powder are amazing. Salomon Rocker ski just makes you enjoy the freeride. You put some effort and power in it and Rocker2 pays you back immediately. It will bring you back to the lift as well, but that’s not where you get the fun out it of course. The Rocker2 108 skis turn easy in deep powder and that is it's major asset.
Rocker for powder
How good is the invention of the Rocker? Amazing. Compare it to skiing off-piste with all-mountain skis with more camber and stiffness and well, it doesn’t come close in most cases. Imagine a first run with no sight because it is snowing heavily. Still the Salomon Rocker2 108 gave me what is needed for an enjoyable powder run. Stability, control, float, easy turning and it forgives enough to correct the small mistakes or uneven terrain. Life in the deep snow is so easy suddenly. If you haven’t tried a real Rocker and/or deep powder, I can recommend to pick these ski’s once and go for it. It might be your next thing after wide all-mountain skis.
Salomon about the Rocker2 108
"The all day, everyday, playful powder ski. Whether its neck deep or just a dusting, the Rocker2 108 has the versatility for any off-piste condition.", says Salomon. For powder, pff, fantastic. And it will get you back to the lift without a problem.
