Intermediate level freeride
skier Alex's rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
"I like that great surfy feeling of skiing in powder snow like most people do. On extreme days a pure rocker ski is nice but usually I prefer the combination with camber. That challenges me more and supplies versatility."
My favourite freeride skis:
1. Stöckli Stormrider 95
2. Rossignol Soul 7
3. Armada JJ 2.0

Great deep powder ski
The Rossignol Super 7 is a monstrous powder freeride ski. Amazing what you can do with two full sized, nicely cut doors under your feet. These gigantic freeride ski's perform best in deep deep fresh snow. And when you are in there, don't be afraid to speed up as the ski's won't hold you back. These top end freeride skis from Rossignol are made for touring (as well). So they are relatively light weighted. And as every gram counts, they made the honeycomb in the tip. Looks fantastic, on all Rossignol 7 skis. Super 7 is a 5 star pure freeride ski.
How to get back to the lift
On the piste the Super 7 ski is OK to get back to the lift. With a relative short effective edge, you'll be able to maneuver sufficiently. Switching from edge to edge is a bit harder because of the width of the ski. Doesn't really matter, you don't want this ski for prepared slopes. Just makes life easier if you are around lifts, focus should stay on powder powder powder and how to get there.
Rossignol about the Super 7
"The most versatile powder ski ever tested," the new SUPER 7 simply makes powder skiing easier, more natural, and more fun. The ultra-lightweight evolution of the "game-changing" original and 2014 "Gear of the Year", delivers an award-winning fusion of backcountry innovation and progressive freeride performance for expert to intermediate skiers. Featuring our patented Air Tip technology; Powder Turn Rocker profile; lightweight paulownia construction; and 116mm waist width, the Super 7 offers effortless floatation, steering, and speed control in the deepest powder you can find. Air Tip enhances floatation and control even further, keeping tips naturally above the snow surface for fatigue-free maneuverability and easy directional changes while reducing "tip flap" in variable snow. No matter where the snow takes you, whether resort-based or backcountry bound – the future of freeride is here. 90% Powder / 10% All-Mountain", says Rossignol. That's how it feels in the powder. Enjoy the snow, the descent, the terrain and let the Super 7 deal with the powder so you can surf your way through heaven.
