Advanced level freeride skier
Heyman's rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
Complete and versatile freeride ski
The Nordica Patron is a delicious freeride ski. And very good on hard pack as well. In deep powder snow the ski has lots of float. If you speed up a little, you start surfing at once. What a wonderful feeling that is. The tip an tail rocker make truning easy even in the deepest snow. On the groomed slopes the Patron carves incredibly well. You would never have thought that a ski this wide would be so good on hard snow. The rocker makes turning easy and the camber underfoot provides a lot of edge grip. Just put the ski on its side and it starts a beautiful and smooth carve turn. Definitely 5 stars!
Float, surf, jump, carve.
Whatever terrain you find yourself in, the Nordica Patron will bring a smile to your face. Even in chopped-up snow and in bumpy terrain you can either float or jump over all obstacles. The Patron will always land you softly on your feet again. Maybe this ski is even suitable for intermediate skiers who start out freeriding. And it will always remain challenging to advanced and expert freeriders. If you want to trade playfulness for more stability, have a look at the Nordica Helldorado, which has 2 layers of titanium for more stiffness.
