Intermediate+ level all-mountain
skier Gijs' rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
"Versatility is what counts most in an all-mountain ski, a good performance in all kinds of snow. But since this category holds just about anything from 80 mm piste-oriented carving machines to 110 mm powder boards, the devil is in the details."
My favourite all-mountain skis:
1. Fischer Motive 86 Ti
2. Völkl Kendo
3. Dynastar Powertrack 89
To all my reviews
Nordica Enforcer 93 (tested length: 185 cm) is new in the Nordica Enforcer line and is made for powder. Even this 93 mm version is better in the soft snow than it is on hard pack. Its deep rocker, both front and at the back, make for a very short contact length. And even though the Nordica Enforcer 93 has metal, a full wood core and sidewall, it really lacks the stability for hard snow skiing, crud busting or – in fact – powder. For someone who is not the jumping, flippin’ type, this Nordica Enforcer 93 ski has little to offer.
Nordica Enforcer 93, the huge powder shovel flaps around like crazy when not floating in deep snow. And even then, well… it simply does not float very well. So it both sends the skis off-line when on hard pack, and it doesn’t help in light powder. The only type of skier I can think of that would actually like this Nordica Enforcer 93 ski is the freestyle guy that finds a jump in every natural deep snow bump and like to sideslip his way through the terrain. For other skiers, this model lacks stability, support and edge hold.
Nordica about the Enforcer 93
"New for 2017 is the debut of the ENFORCER 93, a slightly narrower version of the award winning Enforcer, with a shape of 126/93/114. Its smooth, powerful, and playful feel makes this ski one of the most balanced skis we have ever built. From the hard-pack to the pow, this ski is an absolute blast", says Nordica. I reallly don't think they have actually skied it.
