Intermediate level freeride
skier Alex's rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
"I like that great surfy feeling of skiing in powder snow like most people do. On extreme days a pure rocker ski is nice but usually I prefer the combination with camber. That challenges me more and supplies versatility."
My favourite freeride skis:
1. Stöckli Stormrider 95
2. Rossignol Soul 7
3. Armada JJ 2.0
To all my reviews
Supernatural 108 is a train
At speed and fully loaded as well. The Line Supernatural 108 wants to be skied at speed, with power or it will punish you mercilessly. The Supernatuarl 108 is not for a comfort slower speed run down. To me it feels like a constant challenge. Be fit and go for it. Then it is fantastic, even on groomers where it accelerates like piste skis. Wide enough for powder lines, it demands speed there as well. Charge hard and forget short turns. Not my every day ski, but what it is made for, it does well. 4 star rating from me.
Versatile in terrain
It is a freeride ski, but considering how it runs on groomers the Supernatural 108 is almost an all-mountain ski. Crud, bumps, just ignore them and look out for everyone you overtake. I can't emphasize enough that this freeride ski is demanding and not playful at all. For a day of deep powder I personally like something with more flex. The quality of the Supernatural 108 lies in its versatility over terrain conditions. As long as you want to charge hard, ski agressive and go for big lines, this ski will deliver on every terrain.
Line about the Supernatural 108
"Firm flex and Cadillac smooth Shockwall™ Sidewalls in a width to rule any condition creates the next generation of hard charging freeride skis. Whether sending it through late afternoon chop or early morning corduroy, this ski handles all the of the variety. Early Rise™, Early Taper™ and new Shockwall™ sidewalls allow for precise, intuitive turns at any speed. Blow the doors off the ex-racers trying to beat you down the hill!", says Line. Only the remark about at any speed is to me a bit doubtful. You don't ski the Supernatural 108 slow.
