Reviewer Mary T

"I prefer a heavy damp ski, without much rebound. I place emphasis on control and style, no matter the conditions. My favorite memories are double diamond bumps runs with a foot of untracked!"

What more can you ask for!

The graphics bring new meaning to tree hugger, and I love that the graphics are not gender oriented. These are truly a all mountain ski. It floats in the powder, holds on ice, and carves like a dream! The twin tip makes it super fun in the bumps, and when you hit those skied off spots, the camber under foot offers secure edge hold. I have been skiing the Rossignol Savory 7, which has similar dimensions to the Helix, for the past year. The Liberty Helix carves as well on groomed, with better edge hold, and is superior in bumps, crud, and powder.

Who is this ski for: I would recommend the Helix for anyone wanting a one ski quiver. If you want to cap off your outfit....add Liberty's carbon poles (internal) with real bamboo outer surface, and stitched leather handles! "Looking Good".

Liberty about the Envy

"A PERENNIAL FAVORITE, the Helix is back, now with carbon fiber. We ratcheted up the already impressive performance spectrum of the Helix and kept the weight down with a full length carbon fiber layer. With enough width to float, the torsional rigidity to carve, Stealth Rocker for easy turn initiation, and low swing weight, the Helix is the perfect all mountain ski.", says Liberty.

Wider skis are better! Let's check it out.

by Craig

I have selected some of the wider offerings (approximate 115mm underfoot and above) that were available for 2016-17 season, as well, the new releases coming for 2017-18. See the individual ski reviews on the Yellow Gentian site for further details on each ski, and best internet pricing on...
