Reviewer Alex

"I like rocker for easy turning and float off-piste. Tip vibration doesn't bother me at all. Of course versatility is a condition for a quality all-mountain ski. It depends on snow conditions whether I prefer frontside skis."

Fantastic all-mountain - freeride ski

The Quest 98 is one of those skis that is surprisingly good on the piste as well. When you click them on, you'll ask yourself how they will switch from turn to turn on piste. No problem there, but it excels as soon as there is some loose snow. That is where  the Quest 98 is at its most comfortable and I totally understand why it is now set as a freeride ski. Still a very versatile one though. It is made for all-mountain. Take the Salomon Quest 98 anywhere but it is more powder then icy piste suitable. It floats and it turns easy. Even at the length of 188 cm. And when it gets chopped up, you'll be king! The skis are strong enough to go through all terrain.

Powder, off-piste, all terrain

There we go... Damping is fantastic on the Quest 98, great for all terrain around the resort. I haven't had it in bottomless powder yet, but with that rocker on top I want to try it. I expect it performs very well there too. As in less powder you can put power on it and at no point it will dive. It is like the off-piste area is yours, you decide what to do!

Salomon about the Q-98

"Unrivaled directional versatility for the adventure skier, the Q-98 is stable, responsive and ready to charge any terrain in or out of bounds.", says Salomon. Oh, an adventure it is. Pick up the challenge to conquer the whole mountain with this great ski!
