Advanced level all-mountain
skier Sieg's rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
"All-mountain gives me more comfort than the pure piste skis. Plus versatility broadens the area, I like the need to adjust to the conditions. Slalom will always be a passion, let's see what exploring the whole mountain brings."
My favourite all-mountain skis:
1. Salomon Enduro RS800 Ti
To all my reviews
Easy skiing all conditions ski
The Salomon Enduro RS 800 Ti is a ski which is easy to handle at low and high speed without losing control. You don’t have to put much energy in this ski, to have a great day. Short and long carved turns are both good possible. I guess this ski is suitable for the intermediate up till and including the advanced skier. For the expert this ski is not challenging enough. The Salomon Enduro RS 800 Ti deserves 4 stars because of its versatility and comfort in every piste condition.
Stable and speed
After testing the Salomon X-Race, it was my turn to test the Salomon Enduro RS800 Ti. Blue sky, good prepared pistes, in short, a beautiful skiday. The first turns went very easy, and the ski stayed stable. Enough grip in the turns, reasonable fast switch from side to side without getting tired. Let’s go a little bit faster…..the ski stays stable and is still easy to ski. Great! Long turns, short turns, slipped turns everything is possible. After a few days of skiing, for me, this ski is the perfect ski to rest without reducing speed and finishing as last.
Would I buy the ski? No, although it is very comfortable and fun to ski, I want some more extreme action and prefer the Salomon X-Race above the comfort of an all conditions ski like the RS 800 Ti.
Salomon about the Enduro RS800 Ti
"Enduro RS 800 Ti provides the power and tip-to-tail precision of traditional piste skis, but with all terrain rocker and a slightly wider waist width for confident skiing everywhere in the resort.", says Salomon. The ski is versatile and if confident stands for forgiving and comfort, I agree with the description.
Salomon X-Drive 8.8 FS: good all-mountain frontside ski, bit more off-piste range.
Atomic Nomad Blackeye Ti ARC: very stable, fast and smooth frontside ski.
Salomon X-Race: for skiers like me a far better match, pure piste and challenging all the way.
