Advanced all-mountain skier
Jocelyn's rating of this ski:
Considering her skiers profile:
"I like my ski to be comfortable and handling bumps and loose snow without effort. I don't go off-piste more than on the side of groomers. A typical all conditions on the piste skier with comfort and style as priorities."
My favourite all-mountain skis:
1. Armada TSTw
2. Head Total Joy
3. Nordica NRGy 90

All-mountain ski for ladies
The Salomon Bamboo (169) is a very stable ladies all-mountain ski, which makes you turn and carve quite easy. It is suited for the more experienced skiing ladies, who like to ski in an energetic manner. The Bamboo gives you power in the short turns, but even more in the long ones. At high speed it gives you a lot of stability. A very nice 4 star all-mountain ski to me. Testing the Salomon Bamboo was absolute fun. Salomon has given the ski a modern look. The ski is a bit heavy, but not as heavy as the Atomic Cloud D2 VF75. It is lighter to turn, especially in the short turns, and much lighter to carry. On high speed the Salomon Bamboo gives you absolute control. And for even the more relaxed runs, the Bamboo ski is still a joy to ski on.
Bamboo vs Atomic Cloud 8
Compared to the Atomic Cloud 8 the Salomon Bamboo is heavier and more suited for the more experienced skiing ladies. The Atomic Cloud 8 is more suitable for intermediate skiing ladies. With it’s modern looks and a bit of a rocker in the tips, the Salomon Bamboo gives you a really good skiing experience.
Salomon about the Bamboo
"Lively, strong all-mountain ski for women. Origins Bamboo is a reliable and playful performance ski, designed to explore the whole mountain with a bit more pop.", says Salomon. I absolutely agree on this. It’s stability and easy turning, makes that you can work this ski to the edge. On every type of piste the Salomon Origins Bamboo gives you a reliable feeling, which makes it an almost perfect all-mountain ski for women who don't go freeriding!
