Advanced level skier
Mary T's rating of this ski:
Considering her skiers profile:
"I prefer a heavy damp ski, without much rebound. I place emphasis on control and style, no matter the conditions. My favorite memories are double diamond bumps runs with a foot of untracked!"
My favourite freeride skis:
1. Liberty Envy
2. Kästle BMX105
3. Liberty Origin 106

GS turns anyone?
Why come back from vacation with the same boring "beach story"! Summer skiing at Timberline in Oregon is a must for any serious skier. The beautiful and historic lodge accommodates the whole family. Hiking trails from the lodge with panoramic views abound. For those that don't want to strap on skis in August, take the chair lift, up and back, for the view. The skiing is for advanced intermediate and above, mainly because of the down-loading, and carrying skis on your lap. I expected more rocks, but conditions were excellent, as I am used to many more rocks early season in Colorado! The morning was nice firm corduroy, and as the day progressed became soft, like spring in Colorado.
Stiff and damp
My first run on the 100, it became abundantly clear, I need to respect this ski. Previous years I did shy away from Rossignol's lightly constructed skis. Light weight skis for me, have always been overrated. The 100 is a heavily damped ski. It is a GS skiers dream. Good angulation and forward stance is mandatory! Hold your angulation, don't rush, and it will reward you with a stable smooth turn. With its heavier weight, and super edge hold, chattering was not a problem. I did find the 100 to be a challenge in the bumps, due to it's stiff flex. But I'm betting with some pow on top of the bumps, it would slash through. Looks like Rossignol is going back to its roots, with a more damped ski. Being a graphic snob, the ski looks great too!
