Ski review Salomon 2V Race
Brilliant giant slalom ski
The Salomon 2V is ideal for skiing long carve turns at high speed. This ski has a turbo inside! In the long turn the 2V gives you an enormous acceleration. And no need to press the Turbo button. It takes you on a trip on the piste if you don't control it. Absolute superb feeling.

Besides the fantastic long carve turns the 2V is also very stable at high speed straight downhill. Keep grip is no problem as long as you keep the pressure on it. And keeping the pressure on it cost less effort than for example on the Fischer RC4 Worldcup.
Advanced - Expert
Extremely stable at top speed
Gripping long carving
What an acceleration!
Racecarving on groomed slopes
While the Salomon 2V is extremely good on the piste, it is not in powder. You can make turns off-piste but that cost so much effort and energy that I will always choose something else for that. This is a giant slalom ski, so why would you take it off-piste. Use it what it is made for and for racecarving on the groomed slopes it is perfect. The adrenaline you get when controlling this ski at high speed is addictive.

The Völkl Tigershark 10ft is a very good giant slalom ski with slalom capabilities. The Atomic Redster D2 GS is not as stiff and a bit more playful. Take the Salomon X-Race at 175-180cm and you"ll have a super racecarver as well.
