Intermediate level piste skier
WJ's rating of this ski:
Considering his skiers profile:
"I like to ski comfortably on piste, but the ski's stability is important. After 3 decades of skiing I am experienced and my technique is fine. I go faster than average, but I don't push it to the limit. And I like a ski that looks cool."
My favourite piste skis:
1. Head i.Supershape Rally
2. Head Prestige
3. Salomon X-Race 165cm

Quality for comfort and effort
The Head Prestige is a wider version of the Premium and a perfect match for me. I can ski the Prestige relaxed without having to worry about the performance. So reliable in every way I ski, that the confidence of the ski is directly projected into the joy of skiing. And if it is the chip and other technologies build-in or something else, with the Head Prestige I have a ski that performs in all day conditions. On piste that is and there it doesn't matter if I feel lazy or the conditions are harder, the Prestige matches it. Same for the moments I put effort in my carves, it holds comfortly.
Prestige.. just the name already suggests a class product. Cool looks with small iron/aluminium holes in the side under the feet. All together, is it made for a match with Bogner jackets and nice Audi's? A good match for in the sun on the terrace with the champagne cooler? Are luxury sunglasses a necessity? I highly appreciate these skis, 5 stars.
Head about the Prestige
"A real high-end product. Technology and design at it’s best, a guarantee for maximum skiing pleasure. 10 % rocker and 90 % camber are combined to impress. The additional layer of Intellifibers provides explosive power, control and increased responsiveness.
HEAD’S THEORY OF RELATIVITY.
Ski performance is not an absolute measure. What you want out of a ski always depends on how and where you ride. On hard-packed slopes you want perfect edge grip. On soft snow, you want more maneuverability. Breaking the slope record you want your ski to perform differently than when you’re just cruising with your friends or family. Adaptive HEAD Intelligence Technology helps your ski perform perfectly - both relative to terrain and your individual riding mode.
HOW IT WORKS
Intellifibers positioned at 45° in front of the binding transform mechanical impulses into electrical energy. The harder you ride, the more energy is produced. The electrical energy is led back to the Intellifibers. This causes them to stiffen up, putting more rebound and torsional stiffness into the ski.
WHAT IT DOES
Their 45° position in front of the binding increases the ski’s torsional stiffness, pushing the edge into the snow in hard turns. Intelligence progressively stabilizes the entire ski at high speeds.
INTELLIGENCE CHIP TECHNOLOGY - THE EXTRA BOOST
Some HEAD high-end skis boast Intelligence Chip Technology. Here, the electrical energy produced by the Intellifibers is not just recycled, but accumulated and released bit by bit through a pre-programmed chip – individually timed to match the oscillation properties of the ski. Thus, the effect of Intelligence is multiplied, providing even more performance relative to your skiing style.", according to Head. I like the performance and the looks, a quality product.
